Katie Ackert
Resource Director

Katie Ackert joined Free Spirit Media in the fall of 2007 as FSM's Resource Director. She manages development, marketing, finances and operations for FSM and is excited about building and expanding FSM's partnerships in the philanthropic and business communities.

Katie first moved to Chicago in 2003 as a volunteer through the Lutheran Volunteer Corps, an organization committed to social justice, simplicity, and intentional community. She is currently studying to receive her master's degree in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University. Katie received her B.A. in Communication Studies at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.
