What is the FSM Connections Initiative?
FSM's Connections Initiative aims to expose FSM participants to media professionals.
Why is it needed?
FSM established the Connections Initiative to address the under-representation of racial minorities in media careers.
What are its goals?
To teach participants how to produce quality media, to build participants' ambition for educational and career advancement, to provide information about media careers, to develop participants into role models for younger generations in the community, to increase the talent pool of minority applicants in media careers, and to alter the face, subject matter, and perspective in mainstream media.
How can you help?
Be an FSM guest speaker, collaborate with youth media projects, host a field trip at a production facility or college, engage FSM participants in internships and job opportunities, or mentor FSM youth.
