Charter High School:

Free Spirit Media teaches a progression of video production classes at North Lawndale College Preparatory High School for elective credit. FSM offers a four-week Survey of the Arts session for all freshmen. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are then eligible for FSM's classes in documentary, public service announcement, and dramatic narrative production. Seniors also apply to enroll in FSM's Advanced Production Class to work on the production of films for their senior project gateway. Students develop a variety of skills, including idea development, directing, camera operations, and editing.

NLCP students' work is telecast weekly on CAN TV Channel 19 in Chicago, Saturdays at 8pm as part of FSM's HoopsHIGH show. Additionally, student work is featured at FSM's Big Showcase youth media screenings, held three times each year.
