Tracee Brock
Program Coordinator at GCYC

Journalist and educator, Tracee Brock, came to Free Spirit Media in the summer of 2008. She is passionate about instructing youth in broadcast journalism and live-event production. Tracee's experience in broadcast began downstate in Springfield, Illinois as a Statehouse reporter for WICS TV. In addition, she has also spent time working in the south as a reporter/producer for Alabama Public Television, and a morning news producer for WSFA TV in Montgomery, Alabama.

Tracee holds a B.S. degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From there she went on to receive a M.A. degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois in Springfield. Her love for reaching out to the public spilled over into the Chicago Public School system where she spent time educating some of the city's youth as an intermediate teacher. Tracee received her teaching certificate from National-Louis University.

As Free Spirit Media's Program Coordinator at the Gary Comer Youth Center, Tracee hopes to contribute to youth participant's ability to maximize their greatest potential. She believes that dreams are bound to take up wings and fly when creativity, voice and skill are the foundation.
