Hungry for Change

Hungry for Change is the result of a collaboration between Free Spirit Media, Umoja Student Development Corporation, and 30 high school students who created a short documentary film that explored the social justice issue of food access and food equity facing their west side community of North Lawndale. Students engaged local residents in an exploration of how economic and political forces affect the availability of nutritious food within their neighborhood and how this impacts their community as a whole.
