Isaiah Ward

Born in Missouri and raised in Chicago, Isaiah creates art documenting the experience of Black Americans. In their current role in the Podcast Lab, they are responsible for b-roll, video documentation and designing the cover art for “How Are The Children?”

Before this, Isaiah created art through poetry, writing and photo assemblage work. They have exhibited their art work at many galleries throughout Chicago. They are an experienced film photographer, and received their Associate of Arts from Harold Washington College. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Regenerative Farming.

Their work is driven by their experience as a Black boy growing up between the Southside of Chicago and St. Louis, Missouri. Their passion for creating work that tells a story in new and expressive ways is the driving force behind why they create. They are inspired by the history and long lineage of artists on the Southside and the intricate stories throughout their family tree.
